THE LESSON (My Interpretation) The Lesson is a very poignant story. I believe that the nearly important idea that the author is as take to convey was the disaster that money was not an issue for Sylvia. Sylvia is a little newborn skirt that has a propagate of pride. She doesnt really understand how pitiful she is. She image that white pile were crazy and that they like to convey off. She alike resented the fact that dud Moore was presentation them things they couldnt obtain. Sylvia portrays the message that she has a lot of pride when she is left with Miss Moores four dollars at the revoke of the story. She thinks that she is on top of the world. She alike believes that Miss Moore isnt trying to athletic supporter them. Miss Moore makes references to poor people support in slums and Sylvia doesnt project that she is referring to her and the other kids in the separate. This story tells rough a blow up on a hot, summer day that Sylvia and a group o f children go on into the urban center with Miss Moore. Sylvia moots people with stockings on and even one lady in fur coat. This array just confirms her beliefs that white people argon crazy. They visit a toy terminal and see all these toys that she feels arent worth what they are priced for.
She thinks about what her mother would say if she had asked for one of those high priced toys. She also considers all the other things that uniform money could buy. In my opinion, Sylvia resents Miss Moore for showing the children things that they cant obtain. Miss Moore takes them to a very expensive toy store that in no way any of them buy anyth ing.
